Vol 637 New CANADIAN Music Submissions !!

Today on Trike's Trax, we are checking out new music that has been submitted to the blog by 3 awesome Canadian artists. Broomfiller, Century Thief & Jennifer Budd !! Give them a listen and check out their links. Remember the Trike's Trax motto : LLB !! Listen, Like, Buy !!

                                             Broomfiller

Broomfiller's  new album is called Third Stage Propellor Index. It was released Aug 28/2015. For this record the Toronto, Ontario band enlisted Jordon Zadorozny (Blinker the Star/Courtney Love/Sam Roberts/Lindsey Buckingham) to produce. Zadorozny got the right combination of raw energy mixed with a crisp appeal that makes the record ideal for representing both our frenzied live performances and memorable hook-laden songs. In describing their music, Broomfiller says : "We're an unashamedly punk rock band. We've been compared to Foo Fighters holding hands with Bracket while sitting on a park bench made by Jawbox & Husker Du, eating a sandwich made by Bad Religion and Face to Face". The album kicks some serious ASS !! Full of great hooks and riffs !! Currently on a Canadian tour to promote the new album.  Check out the links below for tour info and to LLB !! Listen to it, Like it and Buy it !!

                                                     Century Thief

From Toronto, Ontario, Century Thief's new album Reverie was released September 10th. They have taken a collective approach to the new album.  It features songs from four different members. The songs show a lot of diversity without compromising on the unity that binds it all together. The studio allowed the band to experiment as a band and brought them closer together as a unit. They ended up with a 13 song album about fighting stagnation. It’s an honest attempt to understand the boredom and comfort of unhealthy situations, poisonous loves, cruel social structures, doubt and dead end routines. The music is sometimes upbeat, sometimes somber, and occasionally veers into manic noise. Century Thief loved making the new album and hope you'll enjoy listening to it. Pillar is the first single. They will be touring Ontario in Oct/Nov. Check the links below for tour info and to LLB !! Listen to it, Like it, Buy it !!

                                          Jennifer Budd

Jennifer Budd is a folk/soul/r&b artist from Hamilton, Ontario. At age fourteen, she began songwriting, with her first single/video premiered at The Vinyl District. Her new album Lip Service will be released Nov 13th. The 1st single and video is Don't Even. The video represents a disconnect within a relationship, an unfolding and refolding of events. The tension is peircing as the couple acts out their frustration. Pieces brake and get put back together just to fall apart again. Jennifer spent time in Nashville with new producer Michael Keire, who made this project possible. It reinforced her groundings in folk music while expanding her interest in neo-soul & R&B. It shows on this new release with a sometimes heavy funk sound. Check out the links below to LLB !! Listen to it, Like it, Buy it !!
