Vol 627 New Music Submissions !!

Today on Trike's Trax, we are checking out new music that has been submitted to the blog by 3 artists. The Chewers, Copywrite & Oh Geronimo !! Give them a listen and check out their links. Remember the Trike's Trax motto : LLB !! Listen, Like, Buy !!

The Chewers

The Chewers are Travis Caffrey and Michael Sadler, two freaks who crawled from the woods of West Virginia to taint the water of the Nashville underground. Once there they began to hammer out an idiosyncratic brand of avant-garde rock'n'roll, and infused it with a wry and deadpan sense of humor.
The Chewers are now ready to hatch their new album "Dead Dads", their most complex and jaggedly groovy work to date. During the time it took to bring the album to term, both Chewers' dads died. Their deaths deeply affected the birthing process, and became embedded in the dark, irreverent musical mutant that burst forth.

Upcoming album entitled "A Heart of Glass" out August 11th
None of this record was recorded in a studio. All of this record was only recorded at our own houses in Austraila, with our shared collection of audio gear and microphones. We started the record when we were 16, and it was completed a year after highschool. The record is extremely personal to us, truly our "high school" record. Occassionaly making us cringe in it's pure honesty.
"Philophobia" is a taboo but common fear of love. "I found it interesting that it was always about the pain after the relationship, as I had always feared about losing myself to the point it would have to hurt. It seemed everyone who fell in love that I knew completely changed; almost accepting less of themselves and abandoning their ambitions, dying off to simply having a love of their life which I knew was so naive at such an age".

Oh Geronimo

Not too long ago, an Oh Geronimo band members basement bedroom flooded as a result of heavy rainfall and snowmelt. This happened twice during the transitional turmoil between Ontario's sombre winter and damp spring. It had a much more tragic and lasting effect than anticipated, since many sentimental items were slowly destroyed by mould. They wrote these songs about it.
Oh Geronimo has a project that provides an escape from the daily rigors of modern life. Together they craft songs about the experiences that have defined their lives. In order to fully express themselves, they ignore all of the distractions, and freefall into the moment.
